Hello there from the Mississippi (try to figure out this sentence with Pat's southern accent :))

We managed to exchange that dirty van for a nice sporty Ford Focus with a TENNESSEE licence plate. So here we are now in Mark Twain's hometown, and therefore took a trip on the Tom Sawyer Riverboat...just as Dagobert Duck did to get to Klondyke, you remember?
But we were a bit disappointed in Saint Louis. Why did they tear down all the old buildings on the riverfront, just to put up an ugly contemporary arch and grass? But we guess that
was the mentality of architectural and urban planning in the sixties. Shamefull...boohoo!
Yesterday night Christine had a revelation: Spaghetti topped with chili sauce DOES taste good! (surprise surprise, for that little italian bolognese-lover:))
We concluded our stay in Saint Louis with a typical American afternoon : shopping mall and cinema...
So good night Saint Louis and so y'all know, tomorrow night we'll be staying at the original Munger Moss Motel, built in the 1930s and still operating on old 66 in Lebanon, Missouri. So, if in 3 days we won't have posted anything new on this blog, you may start to worry... :)
