The camera must have heard what I said, coz it's been working fine ever since :)
So, where were we...right...Sydney Zoo. A fast ferry ride away from Cirular Quay (by the way most of the ferries have 2 front ends so that they don't have to manoeuver around and loose prescious time) lies the zoo, crawling up a hill and offering splendid views of the harbour, the opera and all that jazz. We got to see all the animals one would expect to see in an Australian zoo (no surprise there) Look for yourselves. At lunch, a green perrot-like bird stormed our table in search for sugar...strange but funny, and not shy at all :)
Nevertheless, the follwing day we thought about our education and went to the Australian Museum (not a very original name for such an interesting place). We learned a lot about the native Australians, their spiritual beliefs (e.g. dreaming, rainbow snake, etc) as well as the country's wildlife. We found out that 40 people die in Australian waters every year. Of these, 90 percent drown, most of them intoxicated. Only a small percentage are killed by sharks or jelly fish. However, Christine remains unconvinced and reiterated that she won't go into the sea. The river crocodiles will be pleased... :)
Good night, sleep tight, don't let the bedbugs bite...
