Bula...that's how we were welcomed onboard our Air Pacific 747-400. Beautiful air hostesses with colourful blouses and flowers in their hair. The seats were comfortable enough, but Christine's seat was somehow broken and would not recline. That's not a big deal on a 1 - or 2 - hour flight, but on an 11-hour over night flight...somehow we managed to get some sleep.
We landed in Nadi on Fiji just as the sun was rising on this tropical island pardise. And somehow we were kicking ourselves why we hadn't booked a place to stay here a few days and explore the islands. It's on the other side of the world from Luxembourg...but we guessed we couldn't have everything. :)
After a few hours in the airport we boarded the same 747 for the 5- hour connection flight to Sydney and we played "Under the sea tic tac toe" for at least an hour after having watched the newest "The Fast and the Furious". :) It was so nice and sunny over the clouds...but this ended as we decended into Sydney...rain, grey clouds and wind were our first impressions...We got the train to Central station and checked into the YHA Central hostal. Very friendly staff, very clean and nice rooms. After a quick bite we decided that we were to tired for any sightseeing and went to see the new Fame movie...Good night, mates! :)
